We specialise in providing quality and knowledgeable drivers in fully air-conditioned executive Taxis for senior executives. Important business contacts and potential clients - both as individuals and in groups.
We provide transport and transfers to and from all airports (Manchester Airport, Leeds Bradford Airport, Gatwick and Heathrow). We provide this service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All drivers are qualified Licensed Taxi Drivers and Licensed by the Kirklees Private Hire Office. We provide a prompt and reliable service for our customers. We operate a non-smoking policy for all drivers.
If you pre-book with us, we can be there to meet you when you get to Arrivals. If you wish to call us when you reach the airport, we can be there within 1 hour for Manchester Airport or 30 minutes for Leeds Bradford.
Our prices are the same 24 hours a day so there are no hidden costs and our services is always superb. We check flight arrival times so that we can be there at the best time for you.

FACILITIES FOR WHEEL CHAIRS
Our taxis have the facility to carry passengers who are wheelchair bound (portable ramps are carried); they are fitted with rear seat belts.

We will make a taxi and driver available to your company at an hourly rate. A driver and vehicle at your disposal when you want it. No holiday pay, sick pay, tax and NI contributions to worry about and no vehicle maintenance expenses. The experience and knowledge of a taxi driver when you need it, also taxis are able to use many of the bus lanes in and cutting journey times considerably.
The Private Hire office individually licences all vehicles and drivers. They are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard and you would expect.
A wheel clamp and ticket costs nearly £150.00 plus the time you have to wait to get the vehicle released. A duty driver is more economical in the long-term.
Payments can be made in cash. An invoice will be sent (on request) to you either weekly, monthly or on completion of your contract or hiring.
Wherever possible, to ensure continuity the same vehicle / driver will be used for your company.

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Oakwell Cars undertakes to hire vehicle / vehicles to the Client (the person booking and paying for the service) for the period of hire, under the following terms and conditions. Prospective clients may use this website to complete an online quotation request form or make contact by telephone for a quick quote. We will respond to either request by email or telephone as appropriate, giving a quote based on the information provided. As required, we will negotiate and agree a price for the work the prospective clients wants us to do for them. We will then agree a payment method (sending an email confirmation if requested).
No hidden taxes, fees or extra charges will be payable upon completion of the job, except where additional waiting time and / or car parking charges have been incurred and these were defined and agreed to in our quotation discussions.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If a booking should be cancelled by the customer 48 hours of the start of the period of hire, any deposits or payments in full will be 100% refundable.
Every effort will be made by the Company to ensure that the vehicle(s) arrive on time and reach destinations on time too. The company shall not be held responsible or liable for any delays (and / or arising consequential losses) that occur beyond its control.
The Drive will travel by the most appropriate route on the day, unless instructed otherwise by the customer.
Although vehicles are fully insured for passengers and third party claims under British Law, Customer's properties are carried entirely at their own risk and the company shall not be held responsible / liable for any loss / damage to such property.
The Company and its Driver have the right to refuse to carry any passengers who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and whose behaviour poses a threat either to the Driver, the vehicle or any other passenger.
Nothing contained in these terms and conditions can affect the client's statutory rights.
COMPLAINTS ABOUT TAXI DRIVERS
In order to ensure that taxi passengers are offered a consistently high quality of service. If you feel that you have cause to complain about a taxi driver or vehicle you should write or e-mail the complaint. When you contact us you will be asked to give details of your complaint and a means of denitrifying the taxi involved, every licensed taxi can be identified by licence plate number, vehicle registration number or the drivers licence badge number.
Drivers are required to display their licence badge at all times, and are required to make the number available if requested.
Enquiries can take up to six weeks to complete. At the conclusion of an investigation you will be contacted to inform you of the outcome and any action take against the driver. This action can vary in severity from an initial warning to revocation of a drivers licence. All decisions are based on an individual drivers overall service history and the seriousness and nature of the complaint received,
Complaints vary from those of refusal of a fare to issues relating to misbehaviour and abuse by a driver. Others may relate to overcharging, the use of a devious route of the condition of the taxi vehicle.
We will ensure that all complaints received will be dealt with as quickly as possible and that complainant details remain confidential.
